The Marvel Universe's Longest-Serving Superhero Loses His Title!
In a surprising turn of events, Hugh Jackman, the beloved Wolverine, has lost his Guinness World Record for the longest career as a live-action Marvel superhero. But here's where it gets controversial... it was all because of Wesley Snipes!
During a recent interview promoting his new film, 'Song Sung Blue', Jackman discovered that his reign as Wolverine had come to an end. Wesley Snipes, by returning to the MCU as Blade in 'Deadpool & Wolverine', had taken the record from him. Imagine Jackman's surprise!
When asked about his feelings towards Snipes, Jackman playfully expressed his 'regret', saying, "100%... I would've banned him!" He even went as far as to 'defriend' Snipes on his phone, right there on camera! It's a lighthearted moment, but it raises an interesting question: should there be a limit to how long an actor can portray a superhero?
The interviewer then teased the idea of Jackman 'taking back the title', to which he responded with a clever twist. "It's a race to see who lives longer now," he joked, "and I'm putting my money on Wesley!"
Jackman's journey as Wolverine began in 2000 with 'X-Men', while Snipes first portrayed Blade in 1998. So, who will reign supreme in the long run? And is it fair to judge an actor's legacy by the length of their superhero career?
What do you think, folks? Should there be a retirement age for superheroes on screen? Or is it all just in good fun? Let us know in the comments!
