Aiden Ross, a Texas A&M sophomore, clinches the crown in the finale of The Voice, leaving even the most skeptical fans inspired. Few Aggies can boast that they dazzled a judging panel that included Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan, and Reba McEntire, but Ross can. With his standout talent, he not only impressed the superstar lineup but also captured the nation’s attention, earning the top prize in the gripping season finale against five other strong finalists.
Across weeks of fierce rounds and remarkable performances, Ross’s dedication and skill paid off as he was crowned champion in the final performance showdown. During the finale, he represented Team Horan, chosen by coach Niall Horan who praised his growth and artistry.
“I share a great connection with him. He’s been an incredible mentor throughout this journey, and he also creates the kind of music I aspire to make someday,” Ross shared. “I’m not a full-time student right now, but I’m still taking classes, and balancing schoolwork with music has been both fun and challenging.”
Ross is pursuing a degree in industrial distribution at Texas A&M. His decision to study outside music was born from fear; he hadn’t initially seen a path for himself in the music world. Yet The Voice entered his life and reignited that light, growing brighter as the process continued.
Reflecting on his Aggie experience, Ross highlighted a pivotal moment when he joined the a cappella group HardChord DynaMix. Though he joined late and didn’t know many members at first, he was warmly welcomed, a reception he describes as uniquely Texan. He believes Aggieland’s size is its strength: a university where, with effort, every student can find a place.
In September, he released his debut single, “Everything and More,” which has nearing 150,000 streams. Winning The Voice has now empowered him to commit wholeheartedly to his musical dream.
“I’m ready to pour everything I’ve got into music,” he proclaimed, signaling a bright future ahead.
